Webinar | Palliative Care: Breaking Down Barriers & Addressing Pain Management
Accessing and understanding palliative care can be very challenging – filled with complex decisions and obstacles not only for the person living with metastatic breast cancer, but for their family and caregivers. Effective communication can support families and improve the quality of life for people living with MBC.
For the third webinar in our Changing the Conversation on Palliative Care series, we welcomed palliative care specialist Dr. Kimberly Curseen to discuss access to palliative care for all and breaking down barriers for Black men and women living with MBC.
This webinar was co-hosted by patient advocate Terlisa Sheppard and Alliance individual patient advocate member Stephanie Walker, and moderated by Dr. Stephanie McCoy, Senior Manager, Qualitative Research, Susan G. Komen.
